While happiness is a state of mind, it is also a practice we can bring to our everyday lives. Finding time to focus on gratitude, things that bring us joy, and our loved ones can instill happiness in our lives.
This celebration of emancipation has been celebrated for 155 years in the United States, but this year the awareness of the holiday seem to be at an all time high, and rightfully so. As a country we must continue to learn and grow. I encourage everyone to observe this holiday with a desire to educate ourselves on what today’s Black Lives Matter movement means for the future of our country.
