John Hamel brings to Cue Ball an extensive track record of entrepreneurship, operations, and technology expertise. John’s responsibilities at Cue Ball include leading information services deals and focusing on operational, back office, and real estate strategies for consumer deals. He is active across all deals and oversees the firm’s financial and legal administration. John sits on the boards of MiniLuxe, Epic Burger, and PlanetTran.
Background
John is the founder of The Hamel Group, a Boston-based real estate development and management firm with residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. Additionally, he has had significant direct experience in consumer travel, insurance, and restaurant leasing. He also worked for 8 years as Director of Business Intelligence for the business and technology consulting firm, Answerthink, Inc (NASDAQ: ANSR). In that role he became a trusted advisor on issues of technology and business operations to many firms, including Verizon, General Electric, Alliance Capital, Citizens Bank, Exelon Energy, and Hard Rock Café.
